I finally altered Micki and Derek's mailboxes. Just in time for Valentine's Day (today). The first two pics are of Micki's, both sides. The second two are Derek's. I plan to give them to the kids after Derek gets home from school.

Well, I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed lately. There is just so much for one person to do. 14 years of marriage and 2 kids, things accumulate. I have a philosophy of "when in doubt, throw it out", but boy, do we still have a lot of crap. We live a little bit on the minimalistic side, so it is amazing at what we still have. A lot of it is used frequently, so we have to either keep it or buy new, plus there is all the mementos that are just too sentimental to get rid of. I made a great dent in Micki's room. She is such a little hoarder.

I forgot to share the awesome news that I sold the snowmobile! That is just one big extra relief. I haven't been very diligent in trying to sell it, I had stuck an ad on Craigslist, but since I was going to be gone at Christmastime, I didn't really want to pursue it then. Chad was on my case, he thought I should post it in the papers, but I never got around to it. It turns out that I had quite a few people look at it after I reposted. Several people wanted to trade something for it, but it seems that several just wanted something awesome for nothing. There is no way that I could move the machine to Texas, not to mention there's no snow there, so it's pointless.

Last night I put up a bunch of books on Craigslist and packed up the ones I'm keeping. I had purged my books about 2 months ago, probably got rid of at least 2/3 if not more. It's kind of sad, but I won't read them anymore so they're just taking up precious space. That means that my armoire is almost empty. Probably this weekend I'm going to move the tv/vcr out and put the armoire up for sale on Craigslist. I have a really cool chest I keep at the foot of my bed. I'll just move that to where the armoire is and put the tv on that. I also plan on getting rid of my scrap cabinet. I have most things moved out of it and it's in the garage. Oh, and I need to get rid of the glider rocker, the only one who uses it is the cat!

I altered a little Target mailbox to send to Chad with some goodies inside. It's hard to come up with something that's not too girly or frilly.

I went to an all day crop on Saturday. I really need to go more often, it is so fun and I love chatting and catching up on news with everyone. None of these ladies are my real life friends, but several of us have become croppin' friends and it's so fun to be around them and share our love of scrapbooking while getting away from our daily grind for a bit. Here's some layouts I did.

There was more snow after those last pictures. It's all gone now, the rain came and washed it away. I have been busy packing. I had the basics packed up, but now I am doing the nitty gritty and packing away all but the stuff we use on a daily basis. Unfortunately I am out of boxes, so everything is going into paper sacks now until I can con someone into giving me more. It will make a little more work for me, but shouldn't be too difficult to just unload from a sack into a box. Everything fragile is getting wrapped, labeled and ready to go. I plan to move the kids after the semester is over, so it will be the week of or before spring break.
