December 5th

On this entry, I printed out my first ever transparency. Boy, did I have a time with that. My new printer, although a 3 in one and wireless, doesn't have nearly the functions as my old one, which I loved but it gave up the ghost. The printer (nor word) has a function to flip text nor does the printer have a transparency option. It took me forever to figure this out, but finally discovered that if I selected the t-shirt transfers for my paper source that it automatically prints in flip AND the printing is just fine for the transparency - no smears.

Journaling reads:
Last year after Christmas I purchased cards on discount for this year. I’ve scanned a photo of the card and wrote the sentiment that’s inside. There will be a few handmade cards sent as well. A really cool thing I did last year was to make up an address list in excel for everyone on my Christmas card list. I then printed off the list and stuck it in the Christmas storage box with the cards for this year. I’m so glad I did, it will make it a snap to address not to mention that I lost the list from last year in a computer crash, so I’m thankful to have a hard copy.

JYC December 2nd

Friday, December 03, 2010

December 1 - My Manifesto - basically just ramblings about what I hope for my album this season. If you click on the picture it will bring it up larger so you can read the journaling should you so choose.

Yay!!! I'm so thrilled - I FINALLY got my JYC cover and album basics completed. It is all hand done - I took thin chipboard and cut out the bracket frame shapes I'd made with my Craft Robo in a size a bit bigger than the 8.5x5.5 pages I'm doing. I wrapped the cover and back in a rough muslin fabric and then made slightly smaller pieces for the insides and wrapped them in muslin as well so the inside covers have a nice covered look but make the book a bit more sturdy. I used sewing eyelets for the holes and then used book rings to hold it together.

A little bit of me.
