I did another swap group last night. I did the toppers for the Girl's Ongoing swap that I'm hosting this time around.

I took most of last week off from scrapping, I had to do a lot of organizing and re-organizing of the house. Last night I finally sat down and did the Ongoing #8 swap. Here is a pic of one of the tags, I'm getting kind of frustrated because my scans have been getting worse.

Here it is the 10th and I haven't written anything for a while. I slammed out a lot of pages last weekend. Probably about 15 or so, it feels really good to get all those pictures in scrapbooks. There's so many, I probably won't put them up here. I had to finally stop this week and start doing some chores. I've been cleaning out closets and cupboards and getting rid of unwanted items. The computers at work got major viruses, so its been real interesting there. Hopefully it will be fixed when I get to work, but I'm not going to hold my breath. This weekend we're going to Bend to see Chad's parents. We're told they got a new puppy rottweiler, so I'm sure the kids will be consumed with her. Chad and I now both have little doggie sisters! ROFL!

All right, two more pages done. I've started on easter of 2000. Swap pieces are compliments of Gimi.

Here's a page I did when Micki was one and half. She's wearing her Daddy's gloves so she can "help" mommy in the garden. The page kit is by Suzy Anderson. The tag reads: One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower. The journaling reads: Michaela loves putting on Daddy's gloves and helping out in the garden. It makes her feel like such a big girl.

Geesh, I really miss those days. She was so cute and now she's, well...not. :(

I got two more pages done this morning before work. I used up some really old swap stuff from about 3 years ago before 2Peas shut their swap boards down. This page kit wasn't one I was really thrilled with, but I actually like how the end results came out. A lady named Pam did the kit. This is my 29th birthday and Chad bought me my favorite ice cream cake from DQ. I made sure I brought the camera out, and had Chad take my picture, and I'm glad I did. Now that we're older with kids, we tend to focus more on them and their birthdays and parties and not on us, especially if we don't do anything exciting, which, of course we don't.

Here's another page I started this morning and just completed. The photo mat is a swap piece by Cindy W. and the paper doll was also a swap item from 3 years ago. The journaling reads:
Yep! You can blame this one on the Big Brother. Derek was up to his no-good bag of tricks and I walked into the room as he wa snapping away at his sister's bowl of pasta with a pair of scissors while she was eating out of it with her hands. Well, too late..it resulted in an emergency trip to the Dr.'s. The Dr. used butterfly bandages because the finger is so sensitive at this age and tears easily with stitches, but he wanted to make sure she didn't harm it further, so we had to keep her whole hand bandaged up for several days.

Ok, I did these tonight. First, I just reached into the box and grabbed a page kit swap that I knew had been in there for a very very very long time. I knew of some photos that would go fairly well with the theme, so I grabbed those and voila! Kathea informed me she is the designer of the swap items, so thank you to Kathea!

Not a bad day today, it being a Monday and all. Micki woke up feeling fine, she's been throwing up all weekend, poor thing. I went to work and the day went by quickly, that's always good. Derek started his first football practice of the season. I think I'm going to like the coaching better this year. Let's hope. Once again, he got done and said he's "never doing this ever ever again, not football, not baseball, not basketball, nothing". Hee hee. He said the same thing last year. The conditioning is really tough the first week, then they get more in shape and once they start really practicing with their gear on, it's all fun.

I was able to whip out 5 pages this morning before I left for work. I just randomly picked out old pictures from 1999 and picked out swap items to match. I really need to start using these items and getting more of my photos scrapped. It felt so good. Tonight I did a couple more.
