I'm doing a little more catch up here. Micki had her 11th birthday on November 4th. Where have the years gone? My baby is almost in middle school. Her birthday was on a week day, and Chad had to work at 6pm, so after we picked up Derek from school we went to Olive Garden - Micki's choice. She didn't know enough kids here to have a birthday party, and we really couldn't afford to go all out anyway. We had the early dinner at OG, and then went home where she had cake - it was red velvet and we all loved it. I'm the only one who had ever heard of it, but being here in the South they're in all the bakeries. We opened gifts then Chad had to leave and Micki and Derek worked on her lego station all evening. It was really nice, and Micki loved her special day.
