Not only did I get a page done, but I made a card too. I've had this paper sitting on the shelf for several months and it's time I did something with them. I love the colors.

Today I managed to do a page! It's actually a 12X12 page and I don't have an album to put it in, but oh well. When I ran across these Wild Asparagus papers at Craft Warehouse on Friday, had to have them and decided to immediately do a page.

Saturday I got all the spots done for August's KI swap. I'm pleased with how they came out, but the scan didn't really turn out well.

It's now Friday and all I can say is TGIF! I'm a little on the cranky side at work and I'm ready to just be at home where I belong. Last night was the kids last night of swim lessons and they did great. Derek will be taking this level again because it is advanced and this is where they really start to push the correct technique, it's not just about being able to do the swim. He really improved with his diving, last night was the best I've seen from him thanks to the substitute who really worked well with the kids this week and stressed the correct way to dive - NO BELLY FLOPS! Micki did beautifully as well, I think she was the strongest swimmer in her group, I'm so glad I had them advance her to this level after the first class she took in the lower one, she was just too far advanced for that one and it shows - she's moving up to the next level. I've got her signed up again for August. Derek is bummed because he's in football he can't do any more swim lessons as it will take up most week nights.

Let's see. Well, Sunday we all went to church (even Chad now that he has the weekends off again until the end of August). We ate lunch afterwards (Mexican) and then went home. We decided not to go anywhere or plan anything since we've all just been going going going for months. I wound up cleaning out the laundry room cupboards and closet. It's amazing how much junk can pile up.

Monday. Chad left early in the morning for transport. Today starts his new job, well not new job, new position. I expected him to come home earlier, as I thought he was just transporting down to Salem and back. I finally called him around 5:00 when I was getting off work to see if he was back in town and if he was picking the kids up from daycare. He was in The Dalles!!! When he goes to The Dalles, it's an overnight trip as it's about 5 hours away and they're only allowed to be on the road so many hours in a day. He was in his motel room, and was being quite a stinker! Somehow we miscommunicated so it wound up just me and the kids for the night. I decided to take a break from cleaning cupboards and closets, so I folded clothes and watched tv all night. It was relaxing although the kids really drove me nuts!

Here's a couple of summer pics I thought were great. The one on the top is Derek and Levi, our first boating day this summer. It was Levi's first time on a boat and I think he had a great time. Clue, well, what can I say? He eats like a pig, so.....hee hee..

Here are some swap groups I completed this week. The first is the Ongoing #8 group using Doodlebug Bazzill - I made 9 photo mats. The second is for the Girl's Ongoing using Scrapworks paper, I made 8 mini folders.

Well, we've had some really hot days, but the past couple its finally gotten to just below 100°. It's amazing how much cooler that ten degrees feels. Yesterday I took Micki to the fair to see Raven Simone. She has been looking forward to this all week. We had a fun girls night out. We rode on a few rides, ate dinner and people watched while waiting for the concert to start. One of the American Idol finalists (Diane Somebody) sang several songs and finally after an hour Raven came on. I have never seen so many little girls in one place. I think every girl in the area who was between the ages of 5 and 15 were there. Every time Raven stepped out of her dressing coach, the girls would start screaming and there was a flood of little girls rushing to the fence to catch a glimpse. It was hilarious! She wasn't on for long, but she put on a good show. When I get the pics, I'll put some up, although I don't think you make her her out too well in them.

Here's a picture of Chad, me and the kids rafting last week on the Animas when visiting Mom and Dad last week.

Today is Thursday, I have to go to work in a little bit. Well, yesterday was quite the day! When I got home from work, the dogs had gotten out due to some loose fence boards (our fence is only 3 years old, I have no idea why the nails popped out). The kids and I and the neighbor kids looked high and low for the dogs, but I finally gave up after an hour. I told the kids they would come home, although they've never been gone that long when they've gotten out before. Xenos made his way home, exhausted, but not Clue. The kids kept looking for Clue after dinner and when Chad came home, he looked too, then I looked. We were all out looking until after 10:00. Well, at about midnight, dh woke me up to face Clue, who was a little muddy, but home at last. Apparantly, he'd heard him scratching on the door. Ugghhh! Sometimes being animal owners just drives me crazy. At least I can quit worrying now.

Michaela, of course had to try out the new shoes also. She's cuter than Derek in them, don't ya think?

I found some new summer shoes on clearance and Derek thought he would be silly and see how his feet fit in them. I had to take a picture of him of course, he looks sooooo cute in his high heels and cub scout uniform. LOL!
Ok, I'm not sure if I'm doing this correct now, but I've finally created my first blog. I'm mainly creating this to showcase some of my scrapbooking and interests. Also, kind of like a diary, but light, nothing too heavy, more like in between a daytimer and a diary so I can keep track of things I need to do, things I want to do, and things I've done.
