Ok, much too much going on to go into detail regarding LL softball. It has been really tough once again to get the parents to volunteer, but they don't mind voicing their criticisms. Ah. Oh well, it could be worse. I do like all the parents and my girls are awesome people. We won another game last night, 11-10, boy did we cut it close! I got a lot of sad faces when I told the girls I wouldn't be there to coach them for their next game. It warmed my heart. So, that brings me to the next thing: We're leaving Saturday to go on a Mexican Riviera cruise! W00-Hoo!!!

Derek turned 12 this month! Now, I am not one who usually gets sad over birthdays or kids going to school and that kind of thing, but I got really sad over this. I actually cried a few days before D's birthday (alone, by myself of course). I just feel that his childhood has gone by too quickly and now there's all these changes physically, emotionally and just in general happening to him. The innocence is wearing off quickly and I am sad that the carefree childhood days are about to be left behind. I remember how tough it was at that age and I miss the simplicity of childhood. Well, I will enjoy the year that is left until my tween becomes a teen. Well, I will TRY to enjoy it. He has not really been a joy to be around but I'm hoping that with age and maturity that will change. It has got to or I'm going to lose my sanity. Friday the 6th (D's birthday) Derek had Levi over and we took them to Hometown Buffet - his favorite place. Saturday he had a game in the morning, we all had pictures and then Micki and I had to rush to Grants Pass for the girl's game at noon. D had a few boys over to the house and then they went to the mall to spend our $. Micki and I met up with them later after we got back to town. We actually had a good time just the two of us, eating at the food court and shopping for clothes.
